Pavel Kuzmin is Physical Illusion, a musician from the city of Kiev, Ukraine. In the 90s he was was fascinated by punk rock music, and played in many bands as a guitarist and drummer. In the early 2000s, inspired by electronic music and breakbeats in particular Drum & Bass. At that time he was into the dark techstep sound, but closer to 2005 he ventured into DJing and playing liquid funk & intelligent Drum & Bass.

In 2006 Pavel started his own productions and in 2007 published his first release. Today Pavel is one of the most productive artists in the field of intelligent Drum 'n' Bass in the CIS. Behind many Digital, CD, Vinyl releases on respected labels such as: Good Looking Records, Fokuz Recordings, FKZ: LTD, Celsius, Phuzion Records, Nexgen Music, Influenza Media, Midnight Sun Recordings, IM: LTD, Respect.

Over the shoulders two recorded album's with Sunny Crimea in Vinyl & CD formats in the American NexGen Music and Russian label Respect Records.

Since 2009, he formed the label Intelligent Recordings, which has releases from famous artists as: Physics, Dynamic, Mr. Sizef, mSdoS, Duoscience, Pro Luxe, Sunny Crimea, Stereotype, Scott Allen and many others. His music has received support from the world's leading Drum & Bass producers: LTJ Bukem, Future Engineers, DJ Nookie, Physics, Command Strange, John B, Intelligent Manners, Stunna, Kyro, Derrick & Tonika, Komatic and many others.

In 2012, with colleagues they've launched a new imprint called Contraband Music, which aims to publish Bass music.

The label is now receiving good support from worldwide producers. Contraband label artists are: Paimon, Place 2b, Hextic, Detail, and many others.
