Pete Rann started his musical career after a school friend introduced him to the legendary Mike Allen hip hop/electro show on Capital Radio back in 1985. Since then he has embraced the sounds of deep house, Detroit techno, funk, rare-groove, drum and bass, broken beat and general electronica, which has enabled him to become a versatile music producer and respected DJ.

Since sending a demo to Blame back in 1997, Pete has recorded for Good-Looking Records, Looking Good Records, Fokuz Recordings, Camino Blue, Tru Thoughts, Vibez Recordings and a host of other like-minded labels. He has also graced the decks all over Europe and America as well as hosting numerous radio shows including a two-year stint on Bass drive and other Internet based stations. Pete also hosts 'The Runners Podcast' as a means to promote forthcoming material as well as playing music from across the board.

In 2009, Pete decided to set up his own imprint 'Pete Rann Music' after a desire to have total control and artistic freedom. This has culminated in the release of three EPs, The Running Man, Run Don't Walk and Purpose Tremors covering a variety of genres including atmospheric drum and bass, nu-jazz, down tempo and electronica. He continues to produce his unique brand of synthesizer-based music in a variety of different genres.
